For more than 50
years, Dr. Ben E. Stoebner
(pronounced 'Stae-bner') developmental
optometrist (retired) has
been involved with Developmental Vision and understanding
the visual process.
Upon attending his first post-graduate seminar, he became
immediately
interested in Developmental Vision, 1954.
It would take
another 20 years of pursuit, study and seminars, to arrive at
the main reasons
for children’s learning problems, and more years, yet, to be
able solve those
problems.
Dr. Stoebner has
worked over 30 years, personally, with countless children,
to better their
learning abilities and education. He is a valuable resource of
how to help slow
learners (dyslexics) with learning problems.
In 1986, he
published a summary of his work, entitled, "Basic Concepts for
Learning and
Intelligence," a guide book for those interested in instructing
the
visual concepts
necessary for achievement in school. His initial aim? Mothers,
grandmothers and
teachers. since they are a child’s first teachers.
After retiring,
Dr. Stoebner compiled a learning program which specifically
gives
understanding to, and solves, the learning problems that many 3
- 4 - 5
and 6 year olds
face. Written to be understood, with step-by-step guidance on
not just what
to teach, but how to teach it and why to teach
it.
"Our
intelligence surrounds us, if we but learn how to see it." With
this
program, you, as
a parent, grandparent, or teacher, will have all the tools
needed to help a
child see their own intelligence and ultimately learn to teach
themselves. You
will not be disappointed.

A message from Dr. Stoebner to
parents : A promise
"For all children, this program will make
learning easier. For children, destined to have learning problems, this program will be priceless. It prevents learning problems.
This learning program is based on
simplicity, we are working
with young children .It is written to be understood.
This learning program is not meant to replace public, private or
home schooling, but rather to allow any child to learn to read, to
write, to learn numbers and how they work.
Do not push the
child. Be patient. Pull gently. Allow the child to succeed.
This program lasts for several years.
Any child doing this program will
learn to read, to write, learn numbers
and how they work, or your money
will be refunded." |
